Going Green, a Spanish company dedicated to sustainable mobility projects, has started production and distribution of electric motorcycles at its plant in Barcelona.
The facilities of this new factory have an area of 1,200 square meters and a production capacity of 5,000 motorcycles per year and will involve the creation of 50 new jobs over a period of three years. Almost all of the components and motorcycles technological developments have been undertaken by local suppliers, a clear commitment to the industrial facilities that Catalonia has available in the field of technology and the two wheels.
The bikes produced by Going Green are specifically designed for use by fleets and for use in sharing services that the company is implementing in different cities around the world and specifically in Barcelona under the brand MOTIT ( www.motitworld.com). The company has already begun providing their bikes to Europe and North and South America, where it plans to allocate 70% of its production.
With this project, Going Green aims to strengthen its commitment to the industrial and technological development by manufacturing a line of high quality electric scooters, with innovative design and unique technology, making reference to reaffirm its position as a world leader in electric motorcycle technology and associated services.
The project has been supported by “Invest in Catalonia”, an agency of the Generalitat de Catalunya, in the context of a competitiveness plan for two wheels sector.
The electric motorcycle Going Green has a very special design, it likes to be a robust motorcycle robust, easy to use and very safe.
The electric bike named Core is a very innovative model:
- Removable battery: which allows to eliminate downtime for refueling in the case of a motorcycle combustion or recharging in the case of an electric motocycle.
- Connectivity: The same screen of the bike allows, through wi-fi and mobile, a real-time transmission to the servers of Going Green with multi-parameters of the bike and the use being made of it. This feature is a huge profit for the bikes intended for fleets.
- Navigation: The bike is equipped with a 7-inch screen that allows the driver to receive the directions to his destination easily.
The features of this electric motorcycle is a top speed of 65km / h with a range of 40-60 kilometers. 3G technology has to avoid the need to use keys, only necessary to get a Smartphone or RFID.
