Several new brands will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show (Switzerland) this year - 7 to 17 March - new electric cars. There will be everything, supersports, luxury limousines, SUVs, city vehicles and a very long etc... We can already anticipate that this show will be very "electrified".
Well, the new Piëch brand - you know this name, don't you? (the president is Anton Piëch, son of Ferdinand Piëch, who for many years was CEO of the Volkswagen consortium) will present his sports car Mark Zero. This model, of which many words have not yet been said, will stand out above all for its new batteries, which guarantee a range of around 500 kilometres.
According to the informations available, these batteries come from a new Chinese-German company, which had never before worked in the automotive sector. In addition, the batteries will be located in the central tunnel and above the rear axle of the vehicle, which according to the responsibles will help a weight distribution favorable to a sporty driving.
This new car will allow the use of electric motors, but could also be powered by hydrogen, hybrid systems and even only with a thermal engine. The platform allows the development of this sports car, a four-seater and an SUV. And, as the company proudly says, the models will always be up to date thanks to possible adaptations of both software and hardware.
