In my next book "Silent and Clean" The electricity against water and oil (1905/1936) from the saga "Histories of Electric Cars" - on the way to be published in the next days - I dedcicate a story to the American company Detroit Electric, one of the greatest company of electric vehicles.
Between 1907 and 1939 Detroit Electric built more than 14.000 electric cars, apreciated and driven by all kind of persons, but mainly by women, who preferred the easy handling, the silence of driving and the comfortable interior.
In the video you can see the handling of these cars through their two horizontal levers, folded to the door vertically when not used.
