Charly Bosch, father of the rebirth of the charismatic majorca brand Loryc and the transformation of its new model - classic style - in an electric vehicle, has announced that the car will use a lot of componentes from Opel/Vauxhall Adam, the best to meet the requirements of homologation and weight. The Loryc begins its production in small series these days, in the small workshop of Santa Ponça in the Balearic island.
Opel is already a cooperative partner of Loryc. The responsible for the German brand has not hesitated to provide the requested components of its model Adam by the Spanish brand (in German hands). In fact, as Opel confirms, there is a lot of interest in the components of Adam, also by other companies, because of their lightness, they are ideal for electric car projects. So much that, for Opel, the sale of components is already a lucrative branch within the consortium's business.
According to Charly Bosch, that in order to obtain the European homologation for his Loryc, the car did not have to weight more than 449 kg without battery, task that was not easy to realize. But thanks to the more than 12 components from the Opel Adam (including the suspension of the front wheels, the rear axle, the steering, the brakes and the parking brake) the car could pass the necessary tests without problems and receive the homologation.
At the moment Bosch is already immersed in the production of the first three units of his new Loryc.
