Snikky Bike, a new concept of modern urban drive

A new proyect coming from Montreal (Kanada) presents in the crowdfunding Kickstarter the Snikky Bike, an electric bike with a bicycle wheel on front, and a smaller motor wheel on the rear, with a standing position to ride this vehicle. This project must be funded till the end of this month.

Snikky Bike brings to life an innovative concept providing increased flexibility and incredible manoeuvrability for individual mobility in urban areas, combining the agile riding properties of a kick scooter with the stability and comfort of a road bike into an effortless all electric vehicle. SnikkyBike’s design philosophy is centered on simplicity. Riding in cities can be a challenge, so this product was simple to use, yet fun and exciting, by giving the SnikkyBike an intuitive frame geometry and by reducing the controls to a single brake and thumb throttle. You don’t need to learn how to use a SnikkyBike, you already know. So just get on and enjoy the ride. 

The SnikkyBike has safe, versatile and agile riding properties, large wheels with pneumatic tires also make it suitable for bumpy paths, low footboards, stable frame and height-adjustable handlebars; two brake systems which operate independently of each other; recuperation brake via electric drive generator function, standard brake at the front wheel; excellent deceleration and agile handling since there are no limits to the rider in shifting the centre of mass; good all-round view and visibility to other road users due to upright riding position; non-folding concept to make sure the frame is as sturdy as possible.
