The Spanish company Urban M, situated in Malaga, is developing an electric bike that with its innovative technology solutions can revolutionize the use of urban electric bike in Spain. The project, led by Dani Caro, is performed thanks to the technological business incubator Bolt.
The Urban M stands for the idea of the three wheels, thereby enabling greater stability, both moving and stationary. But it accepts the idea from the new motobike to use the axle with the two wheels on the front, and the single wheel on the rear. This idea gives to the bike a very modern look.
The Urban M also can be folded in just 2 seconds with a single movement. It has a 250W motor, and a range of approximately 30-40 miles.
Up to this point can be any existing electrical bike, but Urban M wants to install the latest technology to the bike. It has a powerful on-board computer that offers various functions through its internet connection.
The bike has the newest innovative anti-theft system, which has a motion alarm system that is activated when the bicycle parking mode is set. This system detects any tampering of the bike when it is shaken or moved, immediately sending the informations to our mobile. It also has an integrated GPS system that follows the bike, in case of theft, for example, but can also disable the motor power. So everything is designed to avoid the dismantling or robbery of the bike, thus providing more comfort to its users.
