The Lohner LEA continues the success story of the of the L125-Roller, which was unique as early as the 1950s. Times have changed - people, their needs, their lifestyle. Smart technology is what's required - the answer is electromobility. Urban mobility in a form brought right up to date: LEA - the legend, it's back!

The designer Valentin Vodev has very subtly taken on board characteristics of the L125 , but completely re-interpreted it. In designing the rear end he has taken a completely new approach. The design language of the L125 has become contemporary with the LEA, it is and remains a cult.

The LEA brings into your life the feeling of a completely new start, joie de vivre, individuality and sustainability. You roll instead of rushing along, with purring passion you glide through the city, effortlessly escaping all the hustle and bustle, in the midst of all the traffic, and all that with an air of pure aesthetics.

The LEA provides you with a spacious storage compartment at the front for your mobile phone, yourSix-Pack and lots more, space for two helmets in the back, so that's the ideal storage compartment while riding for your briefcase, tote bag and your iPad . Large side surfaces, an imposing front, the uniquely elegant lines make the LEA stand out from the mass of your common or garden scooters, it looks solid and stable, gives a feeling of security, shows itself off as noble and elegant, demonstrates your own passion for design and genuine artistic form.

The LEA has been constructed and designed around the technology . The frame has, from the outset, been designed to suit the requirements of electric mobility. The loadbearing part of the frame is the battery box located between the two wheels. Thus, the new LEA has a low centre of gravity. This gives it uniquely calm and safe driving characteristics, which turn a cruise through the city into a delightfully enjoyable experience.

With the LEA the city belongs to you, passionate, purring! Keep on rolling!

Lohner doesn't already reveals what kind of electric engine will be used, but it will be a motor in the hub of the wheel of about 6 kW, which will give a speed up tp 85 km/h. Modern lithium-iron-phosphate batteries with 3.6 kW will give a range of about 85 kilometers and allows a full recharge in about 3 hours.

Lohner is one of the oldest companies of electric vehicles, as Ludwig Lohner in 1899 decided to engage in the production of cars and all-electric vehicles, also experimenting with the combination of electric and combustion engines, that means, also creating the first hybrid models. To perform this difficult feat then enlisted the help of a young man who had studied electrical engineering, Ferdinand Porsche.

Noting the problems with the first electric motors used in vehicles, Porsche drew a new engine specifically for use in cars, installed in the hub of the wheel, which could propel the vehicle directly with the maximum efficiency: the wheels were at the same time driving and steering.

Confirmed from Austria, Ludwig Lohner was the great grandfather of the current starter Andreas Lohner. After World War II, the grandfather of Andreas was engaged in the production of scooters. In 1970, Canada's Bombardier bought the Austrian company, but in 2008 the Canadians decided to withdraw and returned the brand to the Lohner family. Since then Andreas Lohner took the glove and has studied the viabilities of current production vehicles. Finally it was decided to focus on developing and manufacturing electric two-seaters.

The new LEA will go into production in the spring of 2015 and can be pre-ordered right now.
