The carriage of the nineteenth century is back. And you can buy and enjoy traveling as two centuries ago. The German Aaglander is equipped with a diesel engine or an electric motor with all its components from the German company Linde.
The carriage of the nineteenth century is back. The German Roland Belz had worked three years to develop the concept of a carriage with modern technology that does not lose any style and elegance of their predecessors. he presented his creation in 2005 on the Geneva Motor Show. The concept Aaglander has survived to this day and is in full swing, demonstrating that this idea is picking up and is not as crazy as, let us say, one might think.
The motto for its development was to define the design and function of a quiet different, not conventionel, vehicle, looking for the integration of modern technology in the language of the classic lines of the old carriages. Give birth to a vehicle away from a wind tunnel, without thinking about the aerodynamic coefficients, and enjoy it for its slow speed, not high speed. Think completely different and re-plan again motorized trips enjoying the scenery and the time you have.
The Aaglander is normally equipped with a diesel engine, but from the beginning was pending create an electric version, which was finally completed this year 2014. Counting with the invaluable help of one of the largest companies in the electric drive and its components, the German Linde, not only adding the engine, the power module and the battery, but also the necessary software. In this case the Aaglander uses an asynchronous engine rated at 16 kW offering a torque of 70 Nm and reaches 20 km/h. With a lithium-ion 40V/400 Ah has a range of eight hours of travel before needing to recharge in a household outlet.
